Classes
Classes offer structured learning taught over multiple sessions with a clear focus and defined curriculum.

Introduction to Tarot
This class offers a practical, grounded introduction to tarot as a tool for reflection, insight, and self-understanding. While tarot involves learning card meanings, the emphasis is not on prediction or rigid interpretation, but on understanding tarot as a symbolic language that can be worked with thoughtfully and responsibly.
Introduction to Tarot is taught in two levels, each offered as a standalone class and paid separately.
Level One focuses on building a solid foundation. We’ll cover the structure of the deck, basic keywords for the cards, and work in depth with the Celtic Cross spread. Memorization is part of the process, approached flexibly — students are encouraged to develop meanings that resonate and build their own relationship with the cards rather than memorize a single fixed definition.
Level Two shifts from learning the cards to actively working with them.
We’ll introduce new spreads and interpretive approaches that are not covered in Level One, and focus on developing fluency, flexibility, and confidence in reading.
No prior experience is required to take Level One.
Completion of Level One is required to take Level Two.
While Level One can be taken on its own, the two levels together offer a more complete learning experience. Some students choose to continue on to Level Two right away, while others return later based on interest, timing, or schedule.
The class workbook is included. Please bring your own Rider–Waite–Smith (RWS) tarot deck, or plan to purchase one at the store before class.

Workshops
All workshops are one-time sessions. No prior experience is required. For workshops involving tarot or astrology, basic familiarity can be helpful but is not necessary.

Astrology & Tarot:
Looking At Your Birth Chart Through the Tarot Lens
This session blends astrology and tarot to offer a different way of understanding your birth chart — one that emphasizes story, symbolism, and lived experience. Tarot archetypes are used to illuminate planetary energies and patterns rather than replace traditional astrology. Participants will need to provide birth date, time, and location at sign-up so charts can be prepared in advance. Prior astrology or tarot knowledge is helpful but not required.

Finding Your Own Answers:
Belief, Belonging and Inner Authority
This workshop explores how beliefs are formed, inherited, and reinforced — and what happens when they no longer fit. We’ll look at the tension between belonging and self-trust, and how to begin listening to your own judgment without cutting yourself off from connection. This is a reflective space for people questioning what they believe, where they belong, or whose voice they’ve been prioritizing. No prior experience is needed.

Heroes, Villains, Wizards & Rebels:
How Beloved Story Characters Live Within You
Stories endure because they speak to something universal. This workshop looks at familiar character archetypes — heroes, villains, mentors, rebels, and others — and how they show up as inner roles we move through at different times in life. Using storytelling, symbolism, and reflection, we’ll explore how these inner figures influence choices, reactions, and self-perception. No prior experience is needed.

Living Through Change:
How To Move Through Transitions Without Losing Yourself
Change often asks us to release something before we understand what’s coming next. This workshop offers a space to explore transitions — chosen or unchosen — without rushing toward resolution. The focus is on staying connected to yourself while things are in motion, rather than pushing for answers before the next step is clear. No prior experience is needed. For those wanting a more individualized exploration of transition, private Transition Mentoring sessions are also available.

Making Friends With the Scary Tarot Cards:
How the Tower, the 10 of Swords, and Others Can Be Our Biggest Supporters
Some tarot cards tend to trigger fear or avoidance — yet these same cards often carry the clearest messages when life is asking for honesty and change. This workshop reframes traditionally “difficult” cards as sources of clarity, protection, and support rather than punishment or doom. You’ll leave with a more nuanced relationship to challenging cards and a deeper understanding of how they can show up as allies during difficult moments. No prior tarot instruction or knowledge of card meanings is required.

The Monsters in Our Closets:
What is Shadow Work & Why Would I Want To Do It?
This workshop offers a grounded, approachable introduction to shadow work — not as something dark or intimidating, but as a natural part of understanding yourself more fully. We’ll explore what “the shadow” actually means, how it shows up in everyday life, and why avoiding it often costs more energy than meeting it. This may be a good fit if you’re curious about patterns you keep bumping into, parts of yourself you don’t quite understand, or reactions that seem bigger than the moment calls for. The focus is on awareness and integration, not fixing or forcing change. No prior experience is needed.

Numerology for Real Life:
Understanding the Cycles You’re Already Living
Rather than treating numerology as an abstract idea or predictive device, this workshop focuses on how number cycles show up in real, lived experience. We’ll explore personal and universal cycles and how they can be used as a framework for reflection, timing, and self-understanding. This is a practical introduction designed to help you recognize patterns already present in your life. No prior experience is needed.

Oracle Cards:
I Bought a Pretty Deck, Now How Do I Use It?
This is a hands-on workshop about building a personal, intuitive relationship with oracle cards — regardless of which deck you use. Rather than focusing on memorizing meanings, we’ll explore how to listen to imagery, language, and emotional resonance so your deck becomes a usable tool rather than a decorative object. Participants should bring their own oracle deck to work with during the session. Decks are not provided, and everyone is welcome to use a different one. No prior experience is needed.

Understanding Intuition:
Do I Have It? How Do I Recognize It?
Intuition is a natural human capacity, but it isn’t always easy to recognize or trust. This workshop explores the many ways intuition can show up and how to distinguish it from fear, habit, or outside influence. Rather than treating intuition as a special gift, we’ll focus on understanding how your inner knowing communicates and how to work with it in a grounded, everyday way. No prior experience is needed.

Who Am I in the Tarot?:
Discovering Your Birth Cards, Your Personal Card of the Year, And What It All Means
This workshop uses tarot as a framework for self-reflection, looking at the cards associated with your birth and current year as symbolic themes rather than fixed labels. We’ll explore how these cards can be used as mirrors for personal cycles, strengths, and challenges. Prior tarot knowledge is helpful but not required. The emphasis is on meaning-making, not technical mastery.

Circles/Groups
Ongoing or periodic group spaces held for shared reflection and support.

Momentum Circuit
Momentum Circuit is a small-group space that supports clarity, forward movement, and authentic connection over time. Across eight weekly Zoom sessions, participants meet in a shared container that functions as a circuit — each person contributing, receiving, and helping momentum build through ongoing presence and exchange.
Momentum Circuit is for people carrying ideas, intentions, or creative visions they don’t want to hold by themselves. It offers a place to bring what you’re imagining — for your work, your life, or your next chapter — into conversation with others who are also shaping something meaningful. Reflection and encouragement help clarify what’s forming and support momentum that can be difficult to sustain in isolation.
Through organic dialogue and gentle structure, the group develops a rhythm that makes it easier to stay connected to what you’re working toward. This is a space to explore perspectives, speak ideas out loud, and remain in relationship with what’s taking shape, rather than trying to carry it alone. No prior experience is needed.
Momentum Circuit is co-facilitated by Sue Hess and Tisha Tolar.

Services
Services offer a private space for conversation, reflection, and meaning-making around what you’re experiencing.
All services are offered as one-on-one sessions by Zoom or phone. Sessions are 60 minutes and cost $120. Scheduling is by request.

Witnessing
Witnessing offers a space to speak freely and be fully heard — without interruption, interpretation, or pressure to arrive at insight. This session is for moments when something needs to be said out loud, exactly as it is, in the presence of someone who can hold it with steadiness and care.
The focus is not on fixing, analyzing, or reframing what you share. Instead, the emphasis is on allowing what’s present to be expressed and received. Gentle reflection may be offered toward the end of the session to help you hear yourself more clearly, but the primary role of Witnessing is presence rather than direction.
Sessions are paced intentionally, allowing room for depth while also making space for grounding and closure. You won’t be rushed or left abruptly unfinished. For some people, being witnessed once is enough. Others may choose to continue with additional work later — but there is no expectation to do so.

Pattern Recognition
Pattern Recognition offers a chance to step back and look at the larger shape of what you’re experiencing. These sessions focus on noticing themes, repetitions, and underlying dynamics that can be hard to see from inside the moment itself.
The work centers on connecting dots across experiences, relationships, and internal responses so what’s happening becomes clearer and less tangled. The aim is understanding, not correction.
Sessions move at a measured pace, with time to explore what’s emerging and to integrate what’s been seen before closing. Pattern Recognition can stand on its own or complement other work, depending on what’s most useful to you at the time.

Transition Mentoring
Transition Mentoring is for times when something has shifted, ended, or begun to loosen — and the way forward isn’t yet clear. This work supports you in orienting yourself within change, without rushing toward answers or decisions before they’re ready.
The focus is on understanding where you are in the transition, what no longer fits, and what’s quietly taking shape. Rather than setting goals or creating action plans, the work emphasizes presence, perspective, and careful naming to help bring steadiness to the in-between.
This work reflects themes explored in the Living Through Change workshop, offered here in a private, one-to-one setting with space for deeper personalization and pacing shaped by what you’re actually moving through.
Each session is complete in itself. Some transitions unfold over time, and some people choose to meet more than once, but there is no required schedule or ongoing commitment. Sessions are paced to allow depth while also ensuring a grounded close, so you leave oriented rather than suspended mid-process.

Tarot Readings

Tarot readings offer a reflective space to explore questions, patterns, and moments of transition. These sessions focus on insight and perspective — helping you understand what’s present, including beliefs, dynamics, or influences that may be shaping a situation beneath the surface.
This work is especially well suited for questions like “What’s getting in my way?”, “What pattern am I repeating?”, “What am I being asked to look at right now?”, or “Given what happened, what do I do with it?” Readings are conversational and grounded, shaped by what you bring into the session and how the cards respond.

Rates:
